Yoga Music: Series II, Selection No. 2 – Reiki Healing

Yoga Music for the Home

For the Westerner, music is a helpful tool when doing Yoga. And here we begin curating sonic explorative songs perfect for doing a one hour Yoga routine at home.

Why Use Yoga Music When Practicing Yoga?

I think that the human mind needs some musical inspiration when practicing Yoga. And these days there are many, many selections of music that can help put one in a more meditative state.

New Age music, Ambient, Trance, and even light Classical music can help to put one in the mood.

I prefer a specific Set List of songs to help guide me when doing a self-practice at home. For one, music selections help guide one to see where one should be at in the routine.

For one, when you hear the final piece, which should be a very slow meditative selection, it could cue you to go into Sivasana pose. And when I know it’s the second to the last song, then I know I should be doing the seated and lying poses before Sivasana.

So, having music to cue oneself during Yoga can be an essential part of the routine at home.
