Samadhi
Samadhi is the eighth and final limb of Yoga.
Samadhi is the ultimate state in which the Yogi’s consciousness is merged with the universal or infinite consciousness. As the literal translation of Yoga means ‘union’, the individual consciousness unites with the infinite consciousness. The individual soul merges with the divine presence of God.
Samadhi is cosmic consciousness. Ecstasy. Bliss. A complete state of boundlessness.
Samadhi is a spiritual state of consciousness. —Sri Chinmoy
